United Way of DeKalb County Announces 2025 Day of Caring

DeKalb County, IN – The United Way of DeKalb County is proud to announce the return of its annual Day of Caring on Friday, June 27, 2025. This impactful event unites volunteers, businesses, and community members to assist homeowners and nonprofit organizations with essential projects that improve lives and strengthen the community.

In 2024, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, we united 798 volunteers to complete 69 projects for homeowners and nonprofit agencies across DeKalb County - our largest Day of Caring yet. With your support, we can make this year’s event even more impactful!

Get Involved: Become a Sponsor

As the cost of materials and project expenses continue to rise, community support is more crucial than ever. Sponsorships help provide the supplies, tools, and resources necessary to complete projects and ensure a successful event. We invite businesses and organizations to join us in this effort by becoming a sponsor. With your partnership, we can ensure the Day of Caring remains impactful and accessible to those we serve. Sponsorship details and forms are available on our website: https://www.unitedwaydekalb.org/day-caring.

Volunteer or Request Assistance

In addition to sponsorship opportunities, we invite businesses, organizations, and individuals to organize a volunteer team or request a project for a homeowner or non-profit in need.  Volunteer and project applications are available online: https://www.unitedwaydekalb.org/day-caring.

The Day of Caring is a true countywide initiative, and its success depends on the support of our local businesses, organizations, and individuals. Together, we can continue building a stronger, more vibrant DeKalb County. “The Day of Caring is a true testament to the power of community,” said Tyler Cleverly, Executive Director of United Way of DeKalb County. “It’s incredible to see volunteers come together to create lasting change. Whether through sponsorship, volunteering, or requesting a project, we encourage everyone to get involved and make a difference.”
