Karla has served DeKalb County for seven years as a Bowen Health Director and Therapist. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has a Master of Business Administration. Karla is proud to utilize her mental health education and experience, as a health provider representative in the three local treatment courts. Her passion and mission around health and wellness guide her involvement in local initiatives that seek to eliminate barriers to care, increase collaboration amongst local organizations, and ultimately improve the lives of the DeKalb community. Karla has proudly volunteered for the United Way of DeKalb County for the last six years and has served on the Board of Directors for the last five years as a part of the Community Impact Committee. She places a high value on family and loves being a mother of two daughters.
